OUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROGRAM
In the early years, young children need to explore, discover and learn new things. The academic program for Kindergarten through 5th grade taps into this natural inquisitiveness with courses that truly engage young minds and establish the solid foundation for future learning.
Each grade includes the four core subjects—language arts, math, science and social studies—along with music and art. Courses are flexibly paced, allowing students to move at the speed that best suit their needs based on their Individualized Learning Plan (ILP). Nearly all courses are complemented by a wealth of hands-on materials you'd find in a traditional classroom, including storybooks, science kits, math manipulatives and more.
We offer a math course series in the elementary grades called Math+, as well as the MARK12 reading remediation program for grades 3-5. These feature the latest "adaptive" technology that intelligently adjusts to your child's skill level, offering practices where needed the most. In Math+, seven characters are interspersed through the course and learn with students, building a fun-learning environment from lesson to lesson in order to engage young students. In MARK12, students who are catching up with their reading skills can progress up to two full grade levels in one year, aiding the students to be brought back to the expected grade level reading aptitude.
Another dynamic series is the language arts curriculum. Engaging games use interactive elements, such as a virtual magician to pull out objects that correspond to the student's answers. Audio support enables young students to listen to lessons and instructions, providing more independence and an opportunity for self-growth.
