Gabrielle LaVenia works in the special education department at Agora. She is passionate about helping students become the best they can be. When not working, Gabrielle loves spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She also loves reading and playing board games.
Gina Evangelista is a Reading Specialist at the Agora Learning Center in Philadelphia. She enjoys getting to know her students and helping them find great books that fit their interests. In her free time, she likes to read, cook, and travel to new places.
Ginger Shaffer is a Transition Coach at Agora. She is passionate about seeing her students graduate and successfully move into the next stage of their life! When not working, Ginger loves spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.
Heather McCormick is a Special Education Academic Coach at the high school. She is passionate about ensuring that students are provided with individualized opportunities to learn and progress. She provides support to teachers, students, and families to help make students’ educational experience the best it can be. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, ages three and five.
James Klotz is one of Agora’s school psychologists. He is passionate about helping high school students identify and understand their personal strengths and weaknesses. When not working, James enjoys playing soccer and engaging in outdoor activities.
Jamie Grant is an elementary Academic Coach. She loves working with her team to ensure that every student is academically challenged and reaching his/her goals. She has been part of the Agora family since 2008. When she is not working, Jamie loves to spend time with her family and traveling.
Jamie Pratt is a middle school Math Specialist at Agora. He is passionate about supporting his students’ understanding of mathematical skills and concepts through the implementation of creative math strategies. When Jamie is not providing remediation, he enjoys spending time with his family and roaming the great outdoors.
Janet Whippo is a fourth grade Reading Specialist who has been with Agora for 8 years and is currently in her 22nd year of teaching. She is passionate about helping Agora students become confident readers and writers. She lives on a farm in western Pennsylvania with her husband and three children. When Janet is not teaching or spending time with her family, she can be found with her nose in a good book or outdoors exploring the woods and fields around her home.
Jenn Gottshall is a second grade Math Specialist at Agora. She is passionate about math and building upon foundational skills to meet each student’s needs. When not teaching, you can often find Jenn spending time with her family, reading, swimming, boating, or watching and attending sporting events.
Jenna Schreiner is an Intervention Specialist for grades kindergarten through 5. She is passionate about implementing a program in which the needs of all students are fulfilled to the best of Agora's abilities in virtual classrooms. When not working, Jenna spends her time with her family or a good book.
Jennifer Barrios is a Classroom Coach at the Agora Learning Center located in East Falls, PA. She is passionate about helping her students succeed and meet their short-term and long-term goals. When not working, Jennifer spends time with family, friends and her dog, Murphy. During the warm seasons, she enjoys going down the shore.
Jessi Nicholson is an elementary Math Specialist at Agora. She loves sharing her passion of numbers with students. During her free moments, Jessi cherishes time with her family and enjoys all sorts of sports and crafting activities.
Jessica Boyer is a second grade Math Specialist who really enjoys teaching her students. She loves watching her students figure things out as we try to find the best ways for students to learn. Jessica enjoys reading, doing puzzles, and is excited to finish up her Master’s degree in Math.
Jessica Long-Carr is an elementary Strong Start Orientation Advisor at Agora. She is passionate about helping new students become successful in the virtual school environment. In her free time, she enjoys playing rugby and baking sweet treats for her family and friends.
Jill Palme is a 9th and 10th grade lead school counselor. She is passionate about providing academic, career, and personal/social components to the students at Agora while developing the guidance curriculum that encompasses state and national standards. This summer, Jill and two of her colleagues are going to Arizona to speak at a national conference about Agora and cyber-counseling! When not working, Jill loves to run, swim and spend time with her family.

Karenann Young is the Operations Manager at Agora. She is passionate about students having all the tools and equipment necessary to fulfill their cyber educational needs. When not working, Karenann loves spending time with her family and their three dogs.
Karyn Reber supports grades kindergarten through 5 as an Academic Coach. She is passionate about creating a magical learning environment for Agora students to ensure success. When not working, Karyn loves spending time with her family, cooking and working in the garden.
Katie DiStefano is a high school Academic Coach at Agora. She is passionate about creative endeavors and is excited about passion and creativity that Agora teachers employ in their classrooms. When not working, Katie enjoys spending time with her two sets of twins, knitting, set designing, teaching art lessons, and finding the magic in the world!
Kelly Bowes is an 11th and 12th grade Guidance Counselor. She has been with Agora since 2011. She is passionate about supporting her students to reach their personal and academic goals. Kelly loves to travel, read, run, practice yoga, and cook in her free time.

When not teaching, you can often find Kimberly spending time doing anything that allows her to be outdoors in the sunshine and interacting with friends and family. Lauren Wilson is a second grade Reading Specialist at Agora. She is most passionate about the learning culture here at Agora, where the focus is on giving each child an individualized approach to their education in a caring and cultivating manner. When not teaching, Lauren enjoys reading, experimenting with new recipes in her kitchen, walking her dog, and spending quality time with her family.
Laurie Pastin is a sixth grade middle school Math Specialist. Her favorite part of being an Agora teacher is hearing students who “hate math” say, “This is fun!” When not working, Laurie enjoys watching cooking and game shows; one of her goals was to be on a game show which she realized when she sat in the hot seat on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
LeeAnn Ritchie is an Academic Coach for high school English courses at Agora. She is passionate about helping teachers to have the best curriculum and strategies to use in the classroom with students. When not working, LeeAnn loves traveling out of state to see her children and especially two beautiful little grandchildren.

Lori Waylonis is a high school Orientation Advisor and Strong Start Coach. What drives her professionally is teaching students to become technologically skilled, self-disciplined, motivated, and active e-learners. Citing travel as her personal passion, Lori has lived in 11 of the 50 United States, Marseille, France, and London, Ontario, Canada.
Lynn Wilson is a middle school Intervention Specialist. Her passion is getting students into the right programs, courses and interventions for them to succeed fully in a virtual environment. When not working, she is often found at a sporting event for one of her boys as they are involved in soccer, ice hockey and dirt bike racing.
